Karina Bruno came to Toronto 6 years ago, she has been always passionate in the health and wellness field, with a particular interest in making bodies heal trough movement and manual therapies.
In 2007 she graduated with honours in Physiotherapy at the Santa Paula University back at her home country, Costa Rica, working mostly with sport and orthopaedic injuries at the beginning. She expanded her career to a more holistic side by taking specialization into spa therapies and esthetics and traveling to South America to expand her knowledge in Manual Therapy. Since then she has been working for high end spa's in Costa Rica, South America and now Canada.
Her love for pilates start 4 years ago at Body Mason, through her personal practice, she connected with a more intentional approach to movement and fitness, discovering the unlimited benefits for the body and mind. Inspired by her pilates teachers, she decided to start her own journey as a pilates instructor, getting her certification as a STOTT mat and reformer and continuously increasing her repertoire in the Pilates Method.
Her goal is to help people to understand their bodies and how they can heal restore and improve through movement, finding the balance between postural changes good alignment, functional mobility and strength.
